Future Image and I3A Announce
Mobile Imaging North America Summit Sponsors and FORMAT

SAN MATEO, CA – September 24, 2003 – Future Image, the leading provider of digital imaging information and analysis, and the International Imaging Industry Association (I3A), the leading global imaging industry association, today announced the sponsorship lineup for their upcoming Mobile Imaging Executive Summit, to be held November 3rd and 4th at the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa in Monterey, California. The list of leading companies backing the event includes Hewlett Packard, Lightsurf, Nokia, SanDisk, Webshots, Kodak, and DO Labs. With sales of camera-phones projected to exceed the combined total of both film and digital cameras as soon as this year, the Mobile Imaging Summit will highlight the explosive trend toward using mobile imaging as a tool for enhanced business and personal communication.

“Cameras integrated into cell phones offer the possibility of communicating visual information from anywhere-to-anywhere instantly, a capability that will revolutionize the way we communicate, said Lisa Walker, president, International Imaging Industry Association. “Meeting with industry leaders and their business clients will provide a forum to discuss ways in which the industry as a whole can champion the growth of this new market opportunity.”

“We are delighted to have the quality of sponsors and participants that we have assembled for our Summit,” said Alexis Gerard, president of Future Image Inc. “These are thought-leading companies and individuals who like us believe the Mobile Imaging phenomenon will rapidly result in hundreds of millions of people equipped with image capture devices they have with them at all times — and that are network-enabled. Future Image is delighted to ally itself with Forbes magazine, our media sponsor, and the International Imaging Industry Association (I3A), to deliver a high-value forum to analyze the business challenges and opportunities raised by this convergence.”

The Summit will host a select group of visionaries whose views are shaping the development of the North American Mobile Imaging market. It will feature sessions covering:

·         A technology roadmap for mobile imaging over the next 12, 24, and 36 months — bandwidth, resolution and other key capabilities at both the front and back ends of the technology chain

·         Projected changes in the expectations, behaviors, and requirements of users in both the business and consumer markets as a result of these new capabilities

·         New revenue streams for suppliers and users, and strategies to tap into them.

The event will be conducted in a highly interactive fashion, providing attendees the opportunity to engage and interact, in sessions and on the golf course, with such industry luminaries as Vyomesh (VJ) Joshi, Executive VP, Imaging and Printing Group, Hewlett-Packard Company; Philippe Kahn, founder and CEO, LightSurf Technologies; Randy Roberts, GM, Imaging Business Unit of Nokia; and Nelson Chan, Sr. VP of Marketing with Sandisk. The range of topics covered will include:
-          Camera-phone sensors (Jason Hartlove, Vice President and General Manager, Sensor Solutions Division, Agilent Technologies)
-          Image processing (Jerome Meniere, Founder, Chairman and CEO, DO Labs)
-          Infrastructure for picture-mail and content delivery (Robin Nijor, Vice President Marketing & Sales, LightSurf Technologies)
